They reported CHIPS revenue for the year of $789,000 and said their preliminary work shows the village had more expenses than income in FY 2024–2025 and planned expenses exceed projected revenues for FY 2025–2026—an issue that could affect the fiscal-stress score.
The accountants also noted a federal grant of roughly $94,000 applied to the water project (received Oct./Nov. 2024) and said the Water Fund realized approximately $70,000–$80,000 in net revenue last year. The board scheduled a follow-up meeting with Cwynar at their office on Sept. 16, 2025, and expects a near-final report by the extension deadline of Sept. 30, 2025.
