Hanslmaier reported five fires in July (four were the same fire flaring up), identified language-barrier issues on some calls, and said Trucks 251 and 252 require urgent pump service; an emergency-service quotes session is scheduled for Sept. 2–3.
Hanslmaier said the family has requested Loomis' gear and that practice is for helmet and name tape to go to the family; the board voted to declare those items junk so they can be transferred. A celebration of life for Shawn Loomis is scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 24 at 1:30 PM.
