Residents press for lower speeds on Route 8; board asks supervisor to contact law enforcement

Councilman Neil McGovern offered Resolution #93, directing the Town Supervisor to contact state police and the county sheriff to ask for stricter enforcement of the current speed limits; Kathy O'Connell seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
The board did not set a timetable for further action but Braunius said he would personally visit the sheriff’s office to discuss noise from jake brakes and other enforcement issues.
