Carley Parker of Barton & Loguidice presented the board with a design and permitting update for the village water improvement project, saying the firm "are continuing to develop and refine plans for the water main layout, working on mandatory drilled crossing enlarged plans and profiles for road and stream crossings." The consultant reported an Aug. 7 meeting with NYSDOT about drilled and open‑cut work on Route 8 and Route 80 and said CME obtained a DOT permit on Aug. 11; a county permit was expected the week of the meeting.
B&L has sent RFPs to electrical and structural/architectural subconsultants and is preparing a total project estimate for presentation at the September meeting. The board set an easement public information session for Wednesday, Aug. 27, 5:30–7:30 PM at the Community Center; B&L will mail notice to affected property owners. Final design submission is scheduled for Sept. 24 and regulatory submissions are targeted for November 2025.
