Councilman Neil McGovern offered Resolution #91, which specifies that $7,357.38 will be moved from A.7140.0405 (Parks and Recreation Groomer Parts) into A.7140.0200 (Parks and Recreation Equipment) to pay for the mower, and that $5,000 will be transferred from DB.5110.0400 (general repairs aggregate) into DB.5110.0404 (culvert and miscellaneous). McGovern initiated the motion and Don Braunius seconded it; the resolution passed with all board members voting aye.
Highway Superintendent Randy LaVarnway reported recent work including pathway cleaning, rock removal on Page Street and preparations for paving scheduled in August; he had asked the board to move the culvert funds so the replacement can proceed. The board discussed the mower’s efficiency compared with the existing tractor and agreed the purchase would support parks and right‑of‑way maintenance needs.
The motion and fund transfers were adopted unanimously by Supervisor Bain and Councilpersons Neil McGovern, Don Braunius, Kathy O'Connell and Meg Parascandola. No dissenting votes were recorded.
The action directs the town bookkeeping to reallocate the identified line items and allows highway staff to proceed with ordering the mower and the culvert parts.
