The Lackawanna City Council adopted a resolution authorizing submission of a Community Development Block Grant application for the 2025–2026 grant cycle to fund "Repaving Kirby Avenue Part 2." The action included authorization for Mayor Annette Iafallo to sign, submit and execute the contract with the Erie County Community Development Block Grant program upon approval, and a council commitment of not less than a 5% cash match for the project.
Mayor Annette Iafallo asked the council to waive the rules to consider her CDBG request, explaining she was unable to provide the communication in a timely manner; the council approved the waiver and adopted Resolution No. 11, 2024 (motions by Marrano/Anderson and Marrano/Moretti respectively). The transcript shows the public hearing minutes for CDBG were recorded by the clerk and included in the record.
