At the Sept. 3 meeting, the Lackawanna City Council approved procurement recommendations for the New City Hall project. Public Works reported Resetarits General Construction was the lowest responsible bidder for the general contract at $5,077,000; the council voted to award the contract (carried 5–0). The department also recommended CIR Electrical Construction Corporation as the low bidder for electrical work at $1,697,900; that award was approved (carried 5–0).
Public Works asked the council to approve CPL (Clark, Patterson, Lee) as project coordinator for the City Hall project at a total cost of $194,290, and the council approved that engagement. The department also received approval for a staff travel request to the New York Conference of Mayors Public Works Training School in Saratoga Springs Oct. 21–23, 2024.
