Council moved to approve the request (motion by Muflahi, second by Moretti) and the motion carried 4-0.
The council did not record further debate on design or schedule at the meeting; staff will proceed with contract execution and project coordination. The Department of Public Works submitted the bid recommendation as part of its regular communications to the council.
