Humboldt board approves resolution to sell museum property to HEDC

The Humboldt City Board voted unanimously on Feb. 10 to approve Resolution R-02-10-2025 to sell the city’s museum property to the Humboldt Economic Development Corporation (HEDC) and approved a quit claim deed effectuating the transfer.
President Ritchy Griepp moved the resolution and the deed, and Julian Gambs seconded both motions; roll-call votes for each were recorded as unanimous. Board members said the museum inventory is roughly 75% complete and noted a county-approved clean-up day scheduled for May 3, 2025.
Board members discussed the matter as part of new business but did not record additional conditions or a sale price in the meeting minutes. The board listed "museum" among items to return to the Feb. 24 meeting, along with fence and lighting questions and HEDC membership matters.
