The staff presenter corrected a scrivener's error in the packet and said the city currently uses OpenCities (Granicus) rather than CivicPlus. He said staff issued an RFP after council budgeted $35,000 for the project and received 21 proposals; Revise was selected as the lowest and best proposal after interviews.
"This was part of we are currently coming to the end of our contract with Granicus," the presenter said, adding the project aligns with a federal web accessibility deadline and the city anticipates a roughly six- to nine-month timeline. When asked about cost, the presenter confirmed the first-year total is $29,800, which includes a hosting portion (about $7,400) and noted hosting costs are a separate line item already budgeted. Council moved and approved the resolution to get the vendor under contract and directed staff to return with wireframes and timelines as the project proceeds.
Staff said the contract is intended to begin work and that additional approvals (wireframes and department input) will follow. Council approved the resolution by voice vote.
