The public testimony portion of the Hartley Cove hearing included two speakers who supported the reduced‑density plan. Deborah Jackson, who lives at 2625 North Synergy Avenue, said she favors the application as downsized from a prior, higher‑density proposal and called the five‑lot plan "more harmonious with the comprehensive plan."
Applicant Brent Thompson also gave public testimony as the property owner and developer. Thompson recounted discussions with neighbors and said he intentionally reduced the proposal to one‑acre‑plus lots to match the city’s emerging large‑lot designation. He said utilities are stubbed to the site and reiterated that the gated private street was requested for traffic control and resident security. Thompson emphasized his prior experience developing Millstone Farm as evidence of quality design and management.
Both public remarks were short and supportive; no speakers opposed the application during the hearing.
