Library foundation receives $4,545 from New York Life, plans policies to chase larger grants

Vicky Prinn, chair of the Eagle Public Library Foundation, told trustees New York Life presented the foundation with a $4,545 donation following an employee wellness challenge. "They presented a check to the foundation for $4,545 which was a real big deal for us," Prinn said, thanking library and city representatives who attended the presentation.
Prinn said the foundation will spend the summer putting policies and paperwork in place so it can pursue larger grants and donations in the next funding cycle, with a goal of securing a sprinter van to expand outreach to more remote parts of the city. She said preparatory work will make the foundation eligible to apply when grant solicitations open after the new year.
