Board recognizes student winners, FFA and state athletic placings

During the recognitions portion of the meeting, Miss Moore introduced local student accomplishments and athletic achievements across Oconee County Schools.
She announced that the Oconee County High School Alumni Association will award grants to agriculture departments at Oconee County High School and North Oconee High School. Malcolm Bridge Middle School FFA earned a Gold Emblem National Chapter Award; students Asher Grace Bailey and Nora Brubaker were state winners in FFA Agriscience. Miss Whitaker and presenters recognized North Oconee athletes, including Hannah Mustard, a Class 4A state champion in shot put and discus, and the girls track and field team finishing third in Class 4A. The board and audience were asked to join in congratulating the students and coaches.
