The district's teaching and learning report highlighted strong advanced placement participation and high Georgia Milestones results across grade levels.
Miss Whitaker told the board that 1,193 students took at least one AP exam last year—an increase of 80 students from the prior year—and that 95% of students taking AP exams scored a 3 or higher on at least one assessment. She said the district set records for AP participation and maintained high performance despite growth in enrollment.
The Georgia Milestones slides showed multiple high rankings for Oconee County Schools: top state rankings in several elementary and middle school grades and continued strong high school end-of-course results. Miss Whitaker commended teachers and students for the outcomes and said more detailed data will be shared through the digital annual report.
