The board removed Board Policy GARH from the table and voted to adopt revisions increasing the number of personal leave days from three to five and adding maternal birth leave consistent with recent state law.
Mr. Coker, presenting Human Resources items, summarized the changes and recommended approval. "The proposed revisions to board policy GARH are updating the district's leave provisions by increasing the number of personal leave days from 3 to 5 and adding maternal birth leave in accordance with recently enacted state legislation," he said. The board approved the policy revision by a 4-0 vote.
Human Resources also reviewed the Teacher of the Year nomination timeline and opened Hall of Fame nominations through Aug. 31.
