Applicant Susan Bridal (S5) said the proposal repurposes the former Mulvey Chevrolet building at 1794 State Route 9 in Lake George to provide boat sales, service and winter storage for roughly 50 additional boats. She told commissioners the town planning board approved the business in November 2024 and that the family has worked to address minor issues the commission raised during a site visit.
Commissioners requested specific protections for the on-site septic system and clarity on buffers and planting plans. Bridal said they will cap internal floor drains and replace a failing sanitary tee found during a pump-out. Vice Chairman Stanek read Resolution 2025-14, which approves the application (M2550A1) with conditions including: capping floor drains until a DEC septage/acceptance permit is obtained, installing sanitary tees on septic inlet/outlet, and installing physical barriers to prevent parking on the septic leach field within 60 days of permit issuance. The motion passed with an affirmative voice vote.
