Supervisors approve purchase to expand Marshall Cottle Park and trail connections

Vice President Arenas emphasized the neighborhood and historic value of the park and said the purchase would help restore access and eliminate blight; he also noted that Congressmember Panetta secured $250,000 to support Phase 1 of the historic ranch site plan. The Board moved and seconded the staff recommendation and recorded a 5–0 vote to approve the acquisition.
