Ainsworth board approves nearly $300,000 in monthly claims, sets budget retreat date

The Ainsworth Community Schools Board of Education on Aug. 11, 2025, approved the consent agenda that included bills and claims across several funds and announced key budget calendar dates. The consent package included claims of $272,582.17 from the General Fund, $13,887.92 from the Hot Lunch Fund and other fund items; the treasurer reported cash assets of $2,932,808.41 as of July 31.
Board member Frank Beel moved to approve the consent agenda, seconded by Bryan Doke; the motion carried on roll call. The board also set an annual Budget Retreat for Aug. 24 at 7:00 p.m. to discuss options for the 2026–27 budget, and scheduled a Budget Hearing followed by a Tax Request Hearing and the regular board meeting for Sept. 14 at 7:00 p.m. in the District Office. Current agendas will be available for public inspection in the Superintendent’s office.
