Town, Village and Chamber agree to split holiday snowflake lights maintenance costs

Supervisor Betsy Bain reported on a meeting with Chamber representatives Mary and Tracy and Village Mayor Jeannette about holiday snowflake lights maintenance.
Bain said the three parties "all agreed to pay 1/3 of the costs for the holiday snowflake lights maintenance this year." The Village will work on a fundraiser to cover National Grid charges and the mayor will check with National Grid on the costs; lights will remain from the department store down Route 8 toward town.
The shared arrangement spreads maintenance costs among the Chamber, the town and the village for the current year while the Village explores a sustainable funding approach for energy charges.
