On Sept. 15, 2025, the Lake Pleasant Town Board appointed Councilwoman Meg Parascandola as temporary deputy supervisor to fill duties while Councilman Neil McGovern is out. The resolution was offered by Don Braunius and seconded by Kathy O'Connell; Parascandola abstained and the motion carried with three votes in favor.
Supervisor Betsy Bain said the temporary appointment is intended to ensure there is a deputy available to perform supervisory duties and provide additional help during the upcoming budget process. Board minutes record that the temporary appointment "will not affect the budget." The action was recorded as Resolution #124 and appears in the official minutes for the Sept. 15 meeting.
