During the public-comment period Library President Karen McComb asked whether other cemeteries would receive flags similar to the new Airdville Cemetery flag. The board replied that other cemeteries will receive flags “down the road, one at a time.” McComb also warned that siting a proposed community center at the library/clinic location will require attention to zoning rules, parking, and building-space constraints, issues the board said it would consider as part of site selection.
Earlier in the meeting Councilperson Don Braunius noted that a flagpole for Airdville Cemetery had been delivered and that the Cemetery Committee will recommend an installation location to the Town Board. The board agreed that the Cemetery Committee will meet and that the board will follow the committee’s recommendation before installation.
