Staff and the HOA provided measurements indicating two PWCs could be placed parallel to the dock without increasing overall berthing beyond what the dock shape allows; commissioners accepted that evidence and approved the application subject to standard conditions.
A staff member and the HOA representative explained that more expensive swivel-lift technologies that swing PWCs out of the way cost approximately $4,000 apiece, while the requested side-by-side tandem lift is substantially less. The commission noted the village currently prohibits PWC operation except for residential ingress/egress in a 5-mile-per-hour zone; staff said the approval explicitly does not relieve applicants of other local or state regulatory requirements.
The commission categorized the application (DWM24400016) as a minor project under 6 NYCRR 645.3.6 and SEQRA 6 NYCRR 617.5 and moved and approved Resolution 2024-435 by voice vote.
