The superintendent told the board he received an email dated Dec. 15 from the TDA office of governance about a corrective action plan related to a report the district submitted in 2023, and he said the plan must be approved and returned by Jan. 30.
"The board must hold a special meeting unless the next scheduled board meeting is prior to the due date of January 30," the superintendent said, noting he had the email in his inbox and that the district appears to meet the deadline with its current schedule. He said the document requires board approval and signature and that the district will comply with the timeline.
Board members were informed of the deadline and the superintendent said he will ensure the corrective action plan is on the agenda and signed in time if needed.
