"My recommendation is to use NWEA assessment and unit assessment, where NWEA assessments are not available for academic goals in June," the superintendent said while explaining the proposed academic measures for evaluations and a focus on recruitment and retention goals (keeping voluntary resignations under 25%). The board discussed timing and approved the goals by motion.
Administration said goals could be revisited if a better data source is identified; the superintendent asked for "a little bit of grace and leniency" while the district adjusts to using NWEA-based measures. The board voted to adopt the goals for the 2025–26 school year.
