Councilors reported that the Utah Geological Survey hydrology study (UGS) will be published in the coming months after incorporating public input, and staff said the town hopes to see it in October or November. The mayor and staff said they would like to incorporate the study into the town’s general planning work once it is released.
On IT and records security, the town’s IT representative described attending regional cybersecurity meetings and reported the state will host Google Workspace email and require participation in state-supported security programs. The town has an MOU to sign with the state before Nov. 1 to participate in that program; the state has funding for those services for at least four years, and staff see the change as an improvement to centralize archiving and meet retention requirements.
