The Brownfield ISD board voted to continue its annual financial audit engagement with Bollinger, Segars, Gilbert & Moss LLP for the 2025–26 year. Administration recommended retaining the current auditor, noting a market increase in audit fees compared with previous years.
"Their price does go up. We're at $45,000 now," Superintendent Chris said when describing current audit fees and the district's recommendation to keep the same audit firm rather than rebid. The administration said bids would likely be in the $45,000–$55,000 range.
A motion to enter into the audit agreement with Bollinger, Segars, Gilbert & Moss LLP was moved and seconded; the board approved the engagement by voice vote.
