Resident calls for board president to step down; public comments also highlight levy fundraising and other claims

Community member Jessica Cole told the board she had "repeatedly observed behavior from Mr. Tate that is dismissive, defensive, and at times hostile" and urged that "Terry Tate should step down as board president immediately." No board action followed during the meeting; the comment was part of the public-comment period and raised concerns about board conduct and public trust.

Earlier resident Terry Dodson thanked the community for support of a golf tournament raising funds for Battleground Citizens for Better Schools and said the event had 124 players. Another commenter, Wynn Gersich, used the public-comment time to make a series of broad and unsupported claims about vaccines and other topics; the board's timekeeper ended the comment at the allotted time. The board did not take formal action in response to the public comments recorded at the meeting.
