Redfield Mayor’s Appointments for Boards and Department Heads Approved by Council

Mayor Frank Schwartz announced reappointments and new appointments across boards: Library Board reappointments of Stephanie Hansen and Marlene Eimers (three-year terms); Park & Recreation Board appointment of Blaine Rothacker and reappointments of Mallory McMahan, Jenna Dawson, Erin Betten, and Tosha Letsche (three-year terms); Planning & Zoning Board reappointments of Joe Lutter and Doug Wright (five-year terms) and reappointments of Ethan Jessen, Stefan Schroeder, and Tom Carr (three-year terms); Hospital Board appointments of Nadine Cleberg and Ashley Croeni and reappointments of Joseph Lutter, Lynn Brace, and Kristine Wren (three-year terms); Low Rent Housing Board appointments of Rob Eggers, Janell Shottenkirk, and Dane Sanger (five-year terms). The council approved the mayor’s nominations on a motion by Jessi Lewis, seconded by Brent Derscheid.
Separately, the council approved department head appointments to begin May 1, 2026: Tracy Schroeder (Public Works Director); Bennett Osborn (Parks and Recreation Director); Sarah Jones-Lutter (Librarian); Amanda Evans (Assistant Librarian); Lisa Manning (Senior Citizens Director); Kimberly Leonhardt (Chamber/Tourism Director); Karen Sjurseth (Hospital Administrator); Dr. Kristine Wren (Public Health Officer); Adam Hansen (Finance Officer); and Jennesa Jandel (Assistant Finance Officer). These appointments were adopted by motion and carry the terms and responsibilities listed by the mayor during the meeting.
