Sharp Auto Gas bids lower price; board approves two-year propane contract

Staff explained, “We had we were with Sharp Auto Gas, the price is there, and then we had 2 responders to this bid. DCC Propane LLC, and then again, Sharp Auto Gas. Sharp Auto Gas came in with cheaper pricing, and, actually, it is cheaper than our 25 price.” The board moved to accept the lower price and approved a two-year contract award as recommended.
Staff noted they will monitor future pricing and include historical cost fields on summary forms to make price comparisons easier for board review.
