Dave Anderson updated the committee on current maintenance and a planned HSIP (Highway Safety Improvement Program) grant application focused on Lost Nation Flag Road.
"What we're looking at doing is putting on, 3 foot paved safety shoulders on Lost Nation Flag Road..." he said, and added that the whole safety project "would be about $660,000." Anderson said the work would likely coincide with a future hot‑mix overlay, that federal funding is not guaranteed, and that commodity price uncertainty (including salt and oil) affects scheduling and budgeting.
