Superintendent Doctor Negron described the district’s career connected pathways as a major focus for preparing students for college and industry careers. He said 83 students are enrolled in at least two dual credit courses and that the manufacturing pathway reported a 95% direct‑hire rate at Electric Boat for graduates who sought employment.
Negron highlighted the inaugural Bio City pathway cohort as a particular success: he said 100% of those graduates were headed to college, the cohort achieved a 4.09 average GPA, earned 399 total college credits collectively, and posted a 77% positive attendance rate. The superintendent credited partnerships with industry and higher education for creating on‑ramps to postsecondary training and employment.
