Board amends beer-garden rules to carve out Lake Andrea hours

Clerk Jane said the change distinguishes general beer gardens from the Lake Andrea facility and codifies regular operation hours of 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. For special morning events the garden may open at 5 a.m. provided alcohol is not served before 9 a.m.; for special evening events the Lake Andrea Beer Garden may operate until 10 p.m. Jane said the contract with the operator allows the village administrator to approve extended hours for special events, but the ordinance language needed to be aligned with the contract. Trustees reviewed and corrected a minor drafting error in the subsection text before moving to approve ordinance 26-28.
Trustees approved the ordinance by voice vote.
