The Village Board voted to approve the renewal of 34 retail alcohol licenses for the licensing period July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, with issuance to be contingent on payment of fees, completion of required inspections and resolution of any outstanding invoices or municipal forfeitures.
Clerk Jane told the board that background checks were completed by the Pleasant Prairie Police Department and that the police department reported no issues with applicants or proposed agents. She said inspections were conducted by several village departments and that six establishments initially required zoning follow-ups; by the meeting Iguana (a named establishment) had complied with DSIS camera repairs. The clerk noted at-packet time 34 licenses had been filed and that Family Dollar had since filed and would be placed on a later agenda.
Trustees discussed ensuring delinquent property taxes would be included among contingencies and Jane said licenses would not be issued until outstanding fees or taxes were paid. A trustee moved to approve the licenses as presented; the motion carried by voice vote.
