Principals report enrollment figures and positive start to school year

Miss Plimby, the elementary principal, said as of the afternoon of the meeting 373 students were enrolled at the elementary school and thanked custodial, maintenance, front-office staff and PTO volunteers for preparing the building amid summer construction. She described a kindergarten soft-start and invited families to join PTO activities.
The middle-school principal reported enrollment at 338 with sixth grade at 92 students, noted successful open houses and a theme for the year emphasizing "rise up" and the character word for the month: hope. The high-school principal reported 374 students enrolled and summarized career and technical opportunities: 25 vocational students, 24 attending Hoosier Hills, 13 students in workplace learning placements, multiple interns, and several specialty program participants. Each principal expressed appreciation for staff who supported the reopening.
