"The parking lot paving project is approximately 90% complete on the high school campus," the staff member said, noting remaining striping work and minor grading. He reported ADA restrooms near the soccer and football fields are finished and available for use. On the track project he described recent weather-related stabilization work and said concrete ribbon and curb work were underway; the track surface application was scheduled for the week of Aug. 21.
The staff member added a technical note: after new asphalt is laid, the surface requires a 21-day curing period before installation of the latex rubber track surface. Roof work at the elementary and middle school campuses continues; the early learning center is in punch-list phase and Jasper Lumber was expected to finish remaining items within three weeks. Playground demolition and installation for infant/toddler and 3-5 year-old areas were expected to begin in mid-September.
