Elections Administrator Terry Thompson led the Board through the SB440 Primary Election Reconciliation Reports as part of the June 16 canvass, outlining how poll books and tally reports would be verified.
During review of the Abstract of Votes, the Board discovered a discrepancy and called a 10-minute break at 11:28 a.m. Minutes record that Thompson exited the meeting to reprint an updated summary page and page 28 of the SB440 reconciliation report. The meeting reconvened at 12:07 p.m., and the Board continued verification work before ultimately certifying the election results.
Election Judge Chris Christiaens and members of the public asked questions during the presentation; Ronda Wiggers and Deb Evans also spoke during the canvass presentation and review. The reprint and follow-up verification were recorded in the minutes before the Board moved to a formal motion to approve the election results.
