Commissioners agree to draft resolution to change fence-view fees, table scheduling

“The statutory fee of $7.50 per fence viewer to be paid by the requester,” the county counselor said, noting the statutory language dates back decades. He offered to draft a resolution to clarify the county’s practice and to propose that payments be paid into the county rather than issued directly to commissioners.
Commissioners discussed scheduling a fence view that had been requested two weeks earlier but agreed to table scheduling until the next meeting so all commissioners could participate; the counselor said he would prepare a draft resolution for committee consideration. The commission’s motion to table the scheduling carried by voice vote.
