The Sudan ISD Board voted July 13 to pursue a MACA (multidistrict alternative campus agreement) with Muleshoe ISD for the 2026–27 year. Superintendent Scott Harrell presented the terms and said the district would pay $100.00 per day per student when utilized; he recommended approval to pursue the agreement for use only in very extenuating circumstances. Ryan Harper moved to approve pursuit; Ryan Netherland seconded. The motion carried 6-0.
The board noted the MACA placement would be restricted to exceptional cases; the meeting record does not include projected utilization or a budget line for the service. Staff will pursue the interlocal agreement and return to the board if further approvals are needed.
