The Denton County Juvenile Board approved the minutes from its Feb. 6, 2026 meeting and tabled a probation report during a session held May 1, 2026 at the Denton County Courthouse. Judge Robert Ramirez moved to approve the minutes and Judge Brody Shanklin seconded; the board recorded nine votes in favor and the motion carried.
No members of the public spoke during the public-comment period. The minutes note that, "Pursuant to State Open Meetings Law, the Denton County Juvenile Board (the Board) is restricted to taking action on items posted on the Agenda," and record that Probation "chose to table this agenda item," so no formal action was taken on the report. The meeting was called to order by Judge Kimberly McCary, who later certified the minutes.
