The Pleasant Prairie Plan Commission approved the site and operational plan for Deliverer Inc., doing business as Flexport, to occupy the building at 9091 88th Avenue for e‑commerce fulfillment and distribution. Rob told the commission Flexport will remove cold storage equipment and fuel tanks, reconfigure and reuse the existing automated system for shipping, receiving and light assembly, and begin operations in the building late this summer.
Rob said the company intends to bring in about 300 full‑time employees working two shifts. When asked whether Flexport planned to operate a foreign‑trade or customs clearing function at the site, staff said they had not been made aware of any such intention. Staff also said Flexport is expected to lease the building from Kroger, not purchase the site. The commission voted to approve the site and operational plan by voice vote.
