Commission OKs zoning map and text amendments for Riverview expansion
Summary
The plan commission approved the zoning map and text amendment that rezones parts of the project area to multifamily and conservancy districts and places the overall property into a planned unit development to implement design standards for the expansion of The Seasons at Riverview.
The commission approved item 6c, the zoning map and text amendment associated with the proposed expansion and future single-family development. Staff explained that Lot 1 (apartment expansion) will be zoned R11 multifamily with C1 conservancy for certain wetlands; Lot 2 will be rezoned R4 single-family and Lot 3 will carry R4 with a UHO urban land holding overlay that would be removed if and when subdivision for single-family lots proceeds.
Rob said the planned unit development (PUD) ordinance would be created specifically for this phase and would set permitted uses, design standards and parking requirements. Commissioners voted to approve the zoning changes by voice vote.
