Commission approves residential development plans and public-improvement agreement for Riverview expansion

The commission approved item 6b, accepting the residential development plans, public improvement plans and DSIS agreement for the proposed expansion of The Seasons at Riverview. Staff said the multifamily developer intends to build the 78th Street cul-de-sac and related sewer and water infrastructure needed to serve the new apartment buildings; however, the developer is not requesting a right-of-recovery for public improvements along 78th Street, and two other cul-de-sacs (including 107th) would be installed only with a future subdivision.
Rob told the commission that the developer is primarily a multifamily builder and expects to sell the smaller single-family parcels for separate development rather than build them in-house. He also described site-level amenities that will connect to phase 1, including access to the club room, fitness facility, leasing office, pool, playground and fenced dog area. The commission voted to accept the plans (motion moved by Mickey, seconded by Sammy) and carried the item by voice vote.
