Board approves Costco fuel relocation, terminates existing DSIS easement

The Board approved changes for Costco Wholesale Corporation that will allow relocation of an off-site gasoline facility east of the warehouse and terminate the existing Digital Security Imaging System (DSIS) easement.
Rob explained the new fuel facility would include 12 pumps (24 fueling positions) with queuing for 38 vehicles, increase warehouse parking by 124 spaces (bringing the total to 805 from 681), and relocate driveway access to align with 76th Street. Roadway improvements on 76th Street will be paid by the developer and include restriping and new turn lanes; the developer will not include a convenience store and transactions will occur at the pump.
The Board approved Ordinance 26-23 to amend the Costco PUD and separately voted to terminate the existing DSIS agreement; staff said the village will negotiate a new DSIS agreement to reflect updated standards. The board recorded motions and carried both actions by unanimous vote among trustees present.
