Board approves amended PUD for Rocket Wash; solar canopy removed from plans

The Village Board approved consideration and amendment of PUD ordinance 25-39 for a proposed Rocket Wash at the southwest corner of State Highway 165 and Highway 31.
Rob, head of community development, told trustees that plans changed on site and developers no longer propose the previously planned solar canopy across parking areas; staff recommended minor adjustments to primary and secondary monument sign size and location as part of the PUD amendment. Trustee Mike Polokoff moved approval and the board adopted the zoning text amendment after a second.
Rob said the reconsideration allows the PUD ordinance to be amended so the primary PUD will cover both the existing warehouse site and the new gas station location. No public opposition was recorded at the meeting and the board approved the amendment.
