Council members reported complaints from neighboring residents alleging that a property in Monroe exceeds the permissible limit of six poultry on a parcel under one‑half acre, creating noise, odor and possible rodent concerns. Staff confirmed an ordinance enforcement complaint had been filed and advised that the property appears to exceed the allowable limit.
Staff said a notice of violation will be issued requiring compliance within 30 days. The Council did not take further disciplinary action at the meeting and directed staff to proceed with the enforcement process.
