Monroe City Council on Aug. 10 adopted Resolution No. 2026‑11 to impose and categorize property taxes for fiscal year 2026–2027. Staff said the resolution corrected an omission identified by Benton County and formally set the City's tax rate at 3.5566 mills.
Staff also reported that $152,880 in general obligation bond debt service would be excluded from constitutional tax limitations. Council members voted to adopt the resolution unanimously, with staff noting the omission was procedural and that county staff assisted in identifying the needed correction.
