Monroe City Council on Aug. 10 adopted Resolution No. 2026‑10 to make technical and clerical corrections to the Fiscal Year 2026–2027 budget. Staff said the adjustments reconciled discrepancies between transfers, reserves and expenditures in multiple funds and did not create new programs or increase appropriations.
City Administrator C.A. Fiorelli briefed the Council that the corrections affected the Water Reserve Fund, the Water System Capital Improvement Reserve Fund and the Public Works Fund. Staff also said a supplemental budget will be presented later after final figures are available for increased Caselle accounting software costs, the final generator cost at the Water Treatment Plant and planned staffing adjustments. The Council adopted the resolution unanimously.
