Council flags several school-area intersections for safety review in Comprehensive Plan update

Councilmember Brent Dodge told the Nov. 10 meeting he had met with Keller Engineers and the Idaho Transportation Department to perform a field review of several intersections of local concern: the junior-high school crossing, the six-way intersection near Pop N Pins, and the intersection behind the Well-Come Mart/Burger King convenience store.
Mayor Dan Keller added that Main Street stop-light and turning-lane adjustments should be a priority; council agreed to await ITD engineering input and to update Element 7 of the Comprehensive Plan to reflect signal and turning-lane considerations.
No formal vote was taken; the matter will move forward as a plan amendment pending engineering recommendations.
