Lisa Finkelstein, executive director of Fernandina Beach Main Street, presented a quarterly report and highlighted that the Main Street program increased partner contributions (from 55 to 65 partners this year), secured facade improvement grants, and earned multiple Secretary of State awards at the state level. "We have such a great group of volunteers," Finkelstein said as she reviewed the economic vitality, organization and promotions councils' recent work.
Finkelstein outlined fall programming — IslandHop, a Night of Spirits Sip & Shop, Dickens on Center and bicentennial events — and asked for city support for a pilot 'All Access Main Street' initiative with AARP and Florida Main Street to recognize businesses that adopt age‑friendly and accessibility practices. She said the pilot could be showcased at the national Main Street conference next year.
