The prosecutor recommended "12 months to serve 30 days, credit for time served" on each count, to run concurrently, and that Wilkes not return to the Happy Store. Judge Tammy Long Hayward accepted the recommendation, sentencing Wilkes to concurrent 12-month terms with 30 days to serve and credit for time served; Wilkes was ordered not to return to the store and was released. Judge Hayward told Wilkes, "Don't go back to the store, miss, Wilkes."
